AmCham Presented the Results of the 2023 Tax Policy Survey in a Meeting with Ministry of Finance

For the last business event this year, AmCham Romania members welcomed Ministry of Finance State Secretaries Alin Marius Andries, Carmen Moraru along with General Director Iulian Ardeleanu, for a discussion on the impact of the fiscal measures adopted in 2023 and on the tax policy outlook for 2024.

The Dec 13  Business Breakfast was planned with the participation of Minister of Finance Marcel Boloș who could not attend due to urgencies related to the state budget planning.

The event opened with the presentation of the 2023 AmCham Tax Policy Survey results, shared by Alex Milcev, Chair of the AmCham Tax Committee.

The AmCham Tax Policy Survey captures AmCham members’ perceptions of the most and least appreciated fiscal measures that impact Romania’s investment and doing business landscape.

During the event, members were keen to learn more about the measures and corrections to be included in “ordonanța trenulet”, the end-of-year fiscal measures Government Ordinance. Ministry of Finance officials mentioned that the GO will be published today for public consultation, along with the State Budget draft and expressed availability to continue the dialogue with the business community going forward.
