AmCham Romania welcomes the excellent news from the U.S. State Department regarding the U.S. Visa refusal rate.

The calculation of the adjusted Visa Refusal Rate for Tourist and Business Travelers under the Guidelines of the Visa Waiver Program for the 2024 US fiscal year released today confirms that Romania's refusal rate is below the 3% limit. 

The US Visa refusal rate is one of the criteria considered when determining a country's eligibility for Visa Waiver Program status.

AmCham Romania and member companies contributed to achieving this important milestone, through the extended U.S. Business Visa Facilitation Program accessed by over 3,500 applicants via AmCham between September 30, 2023 – October 1, 2024.
