The AmCham AGM on March 26 concluded the elections for the Board of Directors and Auditing Committee.  We are grateful for the large turnout at the AGM last evening and for members who submitted their votes in the elections and AGM decisions.

Please be informed that, according to the incoming voting ballots, the 2025 Activity Report, 2026 Activity Objectives, 2025 Financial Report, and 2026 Budget were approved.

For the plenary session following the AGM, we were honoured to welcome Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and U.S. Ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, as special guests.

Prime Minister Bolojan opened his message by thanking AmCham and its member companies for their contributions to Romania's overall growth:

"First of all, I am honored to take part in this event of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania. My presence here is a sign of respect for those who have invested in Romania, who do business here, and for the people working in your companies. Beyond representing American companies, you have been a true ambassador and a force for cohesion between Romania and the United States, supporting key objectives such as OECD accession and promoting our country's strengths.”

U.S. Ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy and AmCham's contribution to advancing bilateral cooperation, as well as priorities for his mandate. 

"This is one of my first events here as U.S. Ambassador, and I’m glad to start my tenure together with the business community. Thank you to Vlad, Letitia, the AmCham Board of Directors, and the whole AmCham team for the warm welcome and for your strong partnership with our embassy. My very first meeting after being sworn in as an Ambassador was with AmCham Romania in Washington during your Door Knock in January. I was so impressed with the vibrancy of your organization and your work in building a stable, predictable business climate that supports investments."
