On October 19  AmCham Romania opened the first edition of the Galati Business Week with a HealthDay agenda, organized in partnership with GalaÈ›i City Hall - Primăria Municipiului GalaÈ›i.

The program focused on strengthening healthcare system resilience in a border region and major multimodal transit hub, and included visits to two public hospitals in Galați and a healthcare policy conference.

The HealthDay in Galați brought together AmCham member companies from the healthcare sector, local business leaders, public authorities, hospital managers, and representatives of the local medical and academic communities.

The policy-industry dialogue dedicated to the resilience of the healthcare system, opened with keynote remarks from the Galați City Manager Ionuț Bichescu and County Council Manager Camelia Epure, followed by discussion panels hosted by the AmCham Romania Health Committee and moderated by Chair Georgiana Cosoveanu and Deputy Chair Raluca Simbotin.

AmCham warmly thanks our partners in GalaÈ›i, guest speakers, and hosts for their warm welcome, open dialogue, and collaboration. Special thanks to AmCham Members in the Health Committee for their engagement and contribution to this valuable exchange and regional outreach.  AmCham will return to GalaÈ›i on Friday, October 23, for the closing day of GalaÈ›i Business Week, with a new delegation focused on digitalization and Ukraine’s reconstruction.
