On October 19, AmCham Romania welcomed Prof. Dr. Marian Preda, Rector of the University of Bucharest, for an exploratory discussion on Romania’s demographic trends and challenges and their implications for education, the labor market and the future of jobs, and the country’s long-term economic and social sustainability.

There are no quick or easy solutions to challenges of this scale. Addressing them requires a long-term perspective, a national plan, aligned public policies, and collaboration among academia, the business community, and decision-makers.
