U.S. Drive INVITATION (Oct 25, Tbilisi, Georgia) U.S. Business Welcome Event

INVITATION (Oct 25, Tbilisi, Georgia) U.S. Business Welcome Event

The U.S. Department of Commerce, together with the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia and the America-Georgia Business Council (AGBC) is organizing a single-day ”U.S. Business Welcome Event” on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Tbilisi, Georgia. This is a pre-event to the ”Tbilisi Silk Road Forum” taking place on October 26-27, 2023 in Tbilisi.

The ”Tbilisi Silk Road Forum”, organized by the Government of Georgia, is one of the largest Middle Corridor-related events happening this year and will host about 2,000 participants from over 60 countries including political and business leaders, experts, and representatives of international organizations and IFIs. Discussions during the Forum will revolve around how the Middle Corridor, as a new East-West trade route, will impact companies doing business in Eurasia and the South Caucasus in sectors such as logistics, supply chain, transportion, digital connectivity, energy, and infrastructure.

In order to build on the momentum of this Forum, on October 25, 2023, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi would like to invite the U.S. companies participating in the Forum to a day of briefing by U.S. Mission officials, briefing from International Financial Institutions, meetings with the Georgian Ministry of Economy and other key public leaders, meetings with Georgian private sector companies, and a networking dinner hosted by AGBC. This one-day event will give the U.S. companies the chance to learn about the projects the Georgian Government will undertake in the coming years around the Middle Corridor, to present their companies’ solutions and technologies to the Government officials, and to meet with private sector parties that they may collaborate with in these projects. We hope that the following two days at the Forum will be even more fruitful for participating U.S. companies after attending this informative ”U.S. Business Welcome Event”.

To register for the ”U.S. Business Welcome Event”, please send an email to Ebru Olcay, U.S. Commercial Service Turkiye at ebru.olcay@trade.gov and Mamuka Tsereteli, AGBC at MTsereteli@agbdc.com latest by Friday, October 5, 2023. This is a no-fee event. U.S. Commercial Service will follow your mail with a mail/call in order approve your participation as there are limited slots available.

If your company still has not registered for the ”Tbilisi Silk Road Forum”, please go to the Forum’s website at https://www.tbilisisrf.gov.ge/ and register. The Forum’s agenda is available here and the list of panels and speakers are available here.
