On March 31, AmCham Romania hosted a valuable dialogue between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Osmochescu, and AmCham Romania members, focused on strengthening economic ties between Romania and Moldova.
The message from Moldovan officials was clear: Moldova is open for investment!
With an investment-oriented budget for 2026 and significant EU funding in the coming years, the Government is prioritizing the consolidation of key sectors - infrastructure, energy, agriculture, tech & digitalization of public services for businesses and citizens, alongside a strong commitment to justice reform and to improving the overall business environment.
Cooperation with Romania in areas such as capital markets and digitalization was highlighted, as both governments are exploring opportunities to create joint spaces for collaboration.
PM Alexandru Munteanu and VPM Eugen Osmochescu also emphasized the necessary actions and the existing advantages that position the Republic of Moldova as a logistics hub supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction.
We thank the Moldovan officials for their open dialogue with AmCham Romania members!
