Only 10% of Romanian teachers feel knowledgeable and confident enough to create their own teaching activities that use AI in the classroom, and just 24% say they can define key concepts in AI and machine learning.*

In a world where AI is becoming ubiquitous, how do we support our teachers in using AI to enhance student learning—and to equip the next generation with computational, creative, and critical thinking skills? These are the core competencies students need to thrive over the next 50 years. How do we make sure rural students are not left behind by this technological shift?

Since 2016, we have been supporting Computer Science and ICT teachers to lead digital transformation in their classrooms and schools.

  • We equip them with up-to-date knowledge and effective teaching skills - ranging from machine learning and Python to pedagogy and neuroscience.
  • We develop project-based learning curricula that turn classrooms into innovation labs, where students—regardless of their prior experience—build digital products to solve real-world problems.
  • We were there when the new middle-school curriculum in Informatics and ICT was rolled out, offering support with visual programming courses and teaching methods, at a time when implementation was left to each teacher alone.
  • We are also the first European partner of the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s Experience AI—a global initiative that introduces AI competencies to middle and high school students through ready-made lessons and a cutting-edge curriculum.

All of our work is grounded in evidence-based pedagogy and the latest methodologies in computing education.

Today, 40% of Romania's Computer Science and ICT teachers are part of our Predau Viitor learning community. They bring better pedagogy, new coding programs, and current IT industry trends to 445,000+ students in over 1,531 schools.

1 in 3 of these schools is located in a rural area.

With the support of donors, partners, and tech leaders, our goal is to reach 1 million students in Romania—preparing them for a digital future that’s already here.

Help us bring AI literacy to more Computer Science and ICT teachers.
