by AmCham Romania January 2, 2026

On January 30, AmCham Romania joined representatives of the business community for a consultation meeting on key economic priorities and private sector concerns, hosted at Cotroceni Palace by Presidential Counselor Radu Burnete.

The views, priorities, and concerns of the AmCham Romania community were shared during the dialogue by Board members Elisabeta Moraru and Ionut Sas, joined by Advocacy Director Ana-Maria Ciobanu.

AmCham reps highlighted the importance of maintaining a competitive fiscal framework, the need for a clear national strategy to attract investment, and the need to strengthen the capital market through broader supply and new company listings.

The discussion also addressed the need for strategic coherence in public investments in digitalization and for institutional continuity, essential to closing Romania’s digital transformation gaps and improving public services.

In addition, AmCham reiterated the urgency of taking decisive action to reduce school dropout rates and to prevent this phenomenon for future generations.
