Dear opera lovers,

Established in 2008 with the sole purpose of supporting the artistic activities of Bucharest National Opera, the Association “Friends of Opera” continues its efforts to promote national and international values of the lyrical genre, to encourage young talents and to support the artists of Bucharest National Opera in enhancing their professional performances.

This time, the association aims to organize at Bucharest National Opera, on October 26th, an exclusive event, elegant and amusing, having as purpose to collect funds, extremely necessary to the country’s first opera stage. It is a masquerade ball intended to create in the foyers of Bucharest Opera the atmosphere specific to all events of its kind throughout Europe.

Participants to the event will be invited on the respective evening in the balconies of the theatre, where they would attend the show “Un Ballo in Maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi, starting from 6 p.m. Later, at 9 p.m., the masquerade ball begins (costumes from any era) offering some special moments: cocktail, dinner, parade of costumes, raffle, dancing – the musical background being, of course, live classical music – vocal and instrumental.

Access to the masquerade ball will be granted based on a voucher of 500 RON that you will receive by courier and pay on delivery.

For companies, we are offering the possibility to purchase and offer to collaborators, partners and friends a number of seats at tables or full tables, of 10 people.

The amounts collected through your generosity will be used to support the artistic and promotional activities of Bucharest National Opera.
