It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes an entire country to give hope to him when he gets sick. It takes 3 minutes of your time to fill in the online form and redirect 3.5% of your income tax to Dăruiește Viață, if you are an employee. Or a couple more minutes to redirect your profit tax through Declaration 177 or make a direct sponsorship, if you own or manage a company.

Either way, it’s time well spent and it doesn’t cost you anything. Only this way, Dăruiește Viață can keep on building medical infrastructure in a country where public health is at the bottom of the priority list.

On April 16, 2024, the first children moved into the new Hospital at Marie Curie, built by Dăruiește Viață with the support of over 350.000 donors and more than 8.000 sponsors.

From an oncology ward where children and their parents had to queue for a single toilet in the hallway, they have now moved into a Hospital where each room has its own bathroom, a bed for the accompanying parent, and the best treatment conditions.

In the new Hospital, play is the most eagerly awaited medicine. The creative, recreational, and educational activities we organize regularly help young patients forget they are hospitalized. The new Hospital includes a movie theater, a radio studio, play areas, an indoor garden, and an astronomical observatory.

We are celebrating one year since the first children with severe illnesses moved from the old Marie Curie hospital into the new building, constructed by Dăruiește Viață entirely through donations and sponsorships. One year since the dream of building a Hospital from scratch became reality. One year since one dream united an entire country.

We have already begun designing the second building, expanding the new Hospital as part of Romania’s first Pediatric Medical Campus. In addition to medical facilities and play and relaxation areas, the Medical Campus will also offer accommodation for parents and research facilities.
