Filip & Company law firm won two awards at the Legal 500 Central and Eastern Europe Awards 2026, held on 15 October in Warsaw. The firm was awarded Commercial, Corporate and M&A Firm of the Year in CEE, whilst Monica Stătescu, of counsel at Filip & Company, won the TMT Next Generation Partner in CEE award.

These two awards place Filip & Company, an independent law firm in Romania, amongst the winners of a competition that recognises the work of firms and professionals across the Central and Eastern European region.

The award for Commercial, Corporate and M&A recognises the team’s work on complex business transactions and projects involving Romanian companies, international investors and advisers from other jurisdictions.

The second award of the evening went to Monica Stătescu, whose work in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector was recognised with the TMT Next Generation Partner in CEE award. The award comes at a time when technology, artificial intelligence and evolving European regulations are rapidly transforming both the industries in which clients operate and the role of legal consultancy.
