Direct 20% of the profit tax to Teach for Romania Association

by Teach for Romania November 19, 2025

Dear Friend of Education,

Please take a moment to think about a hypothetical situation: What if you couldn't read a label, understand the text of a medical prescription, or know what you were signing at the bank? A life without literacy means constant uncertainty and the immense challenge of overcome the obstacles of written words.

This is the uncertain and vulnerable future of children who finish primary school without acquiring the fundamental basis of literacy. And their number is not small. In rural areas, 1 in 4 children who finish primary education have problems deciphering a text. Nationally, 4 out of 10 students are below the minimum competence level in reading, which means they cannot understand a main idea from a text they are reading.

Study after study and our experience over the last 12 years show us that teachers are the key to an equitable education, one that can bridge these gaps by working individually and differentially with every student who needs extra help. Happy ending stories are born from this help offered by Teach for Romania teachers to students who are falling behind. Companies can actively contribute to reducing educational gaps by supporting Teach for Romania teachers at no additional cost – simply by directing 20% of their current year's profit tax to the Teach for Romania Association, which trains quality teachers and supports them to teach in vulnerable environments.

What you need to do by December 31, 2025:

  • Complete the sponsorship contract with your company's details and sign it.

  • Send it to ana.dinescu@teachforromania.ro for us to sign as well.

  • Transfer the amount to the Teach for Romania account.

The contribution of Teach supporters in the 2024-2025 school year helped over 180 exceptional people go to classrooms in Romania's villages. To them are added the more than 330 Teach for Romania alumni who try daily to meet the needs of the educational system and generate the progress and evolution we all hope for.
