Rödl & Partner Romania hosts event “Entrepreneurial spirit meets Romanian realities”

by Rödl & Partner December 7, 2018

Rödl & Partner Romania enhances its position as a leading professional services firm for companies from German-speaking countries by hosting the event “Entrepreneurial spirit meets Romanian realities” on 15 November 2018 in Bucharest.

During the event, participants received practice-oriented information on the local entrepreneurial landscape in terms of legal, tax, accounting and audit matters as well as intercultural differences.

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Peter Bömelburg, Managing Partner of Rödl & Partner, who underlined the growing role of German-Romanian business relations: “Romania has become a very important trading partner for Germany, where the German economy recently recorded a total of approximately 10 billion Euros in direct and indirect investments in Romania.” Romania can be considered a mature market and an attractive investment location for high-value services.

Bogdan Fratila, country manager of Rödl & Partner Romania, stressed Rödl & Partner’s “one firm” concept, supported by its integrated international advisory approach: “Our goal is to intensify and ease the communication with our clients through a dedicated caring partner and to ensure the “Made in Germany” quality of our services. We have been present in Romania for about 20 years now and, with currently 4 offices and over 100 advisers, I strongly believe that based on our core values we will continue to strengthen our market position.”

The event also touched upon the firm’s international know-how, guiding participants through the specific aspects of the local business environment. Rödl & Partner speakers referred to variations between the German and Romanian accounting and auditing principles, specific local tax registrations and transfer pricing files as well as the new rules on the prevention of money laundering. A communications expert offered practical examples on intercultural differences between Germany and Romania and suggested ways to strengthen cooperation by way of transforming the cross-border cultural variations into an advantage.
