We are pleased to share that our firm advised Kraftfeld Energy GmbH on a strategic partnership transaction regarding the Maruntei Vest project in Olt County, Romania  (utility-scale solar PV plant with co-located battery energy storage).

Through this transaction, Vertex Energy GmbH joined the project as equity partner, acquiring a 49% stake, with Kraftfeld Energy retaining a majority stake and continuing the development of the project.

Our M&A team provided comprehensive legal assistance in relation to the structuring, negotiation and implementation of the transaction, including the share purchase and shareholders’ arrangements governing the partnership framework for the further development of the project.

The transaction was coordinated by Dan Oltean (Counsel), assisted by Diana Bigiu (Associate), under the overall supervision of Loredana Vlăsceanu (Partner).

The transaction forms part of the broader financing and development process for the project, which has secured a EUR 50.4 million financing package from Kommunalkredit Austria AG
