As of April 1st, 2011 Andrea Multari has been appointed as Country Managing Director at Accenture Romania, taking over the responsibilities from Maurizio Barini who led the Romanian operations since 2007.
Andrea Multari joined Accenture in 1998 following a nine-year career in the Italian Navy. Most recently, Andrea has been the Technology growth platform lead in Romania where he led Technology sales and delivery efforts. Andrea has experience in multiple operating groups and service lines. He has led the successful sales and delivery of IT security projects in Europe and the Middle East and of several technology projects in Romania, and has contributed significantly to Accenture’s global IT security offerings. He also has actively supported the startup and growth of the Romanian practice.
Andrea, 41 years old, has a degree in Naval Sciences and another degree in Computer Science. He has also studied for a Master’s in International Business.
Maurizio Barini, who works in Accenture since 1987, had an instrumental role in the establishment of Accenture consulting business in Romania. He will continue in his roles at Accenture as Geographic Managing Director of Danubia (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania) and the Country Managing Director of the Czech Republic.
Accenture focuses today its operations in Romania on three directions:
1. Delivers Consulting, Systems Integration and Technology services to local companies and international organizations with a presence in Romania, leveraging its local practice and its global network
2. Delivers Business Process Outsourcing services to both local and international clients through its Bucharest Delivery Center that is integrated in the Accenture Global Delivery Network
3. Delivers ICT services and chiefly Application Development and Application Outsourcing services to both local and International clients through its Accenture Technology division located in Bucharest.
