On July 29, 2025 AmCham Romania had a first consultative meeting with the new Minister of Health, Mr. Alexandru Rogobete, to present the key priorities of our Healthcare Committee.

The discussion served both to gain a deeper understanding of the Minister’s priorities for his mandate and to share the perspective of AmCham members actively engaged in developing the Romanian healthcare ecosystem, for better progress and patient care—highlighting the need for urgent interventions, as well as long-term structural reforms.

We emphasized the critical need to modernize hospital infrastructure to enhance efficiency and sustainability, and to reach a balanced approach regarding access to innovative medicines, medical devices, equipments and therapies. We also identified priority areas where AmCham can contribute with its expertise and support meaningful dialogue with the Ministry going forward.

AmCham was represented by Georgiana Cosoveanu, Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Healthcare Committee; Raluca Simbotin, Deputy Chair of the Healthcare Committee; Letitia Pupazeanu, Executive Director; and Ioana Rotileanu, Advocacy Lead.
