Global Entrepreneurship Summit - Presentation Event

Impact Hub Bucharest, U.S. Embassy in Romania and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Romania are organizing, on January 28, an info event to present Global Entrepreneurship Summit, in order to provide a better understanding of the opportunities this summit offers to Romanian entrepreneurs.

Global Entrepreneurship Summit is an international initiative that supports entrepreneurs, international companies and institutions that offer innovative solutions to social challenges we face today. This year, GES reaches its 9th edition and it is co-organized by USA and the Netherlands on June 4th and 5th, in the Hague.

Over the course of two days, participants will engage with leaders and representatives from the global community of entrepreneurs, will participate at presentations held by top speakers and experts and also at activities meant to encourage the development of innovative visions of the future.  GES serves as a platform for governments and private sector organizations to promote new policies and initiatives.

GES will comprise 1,200 entrepreneur participants from: the US (400), the Netherlands (200), Europe (200), and the rest of the world (400). There will also be approximately 400 investors from all over the world and 400 thought leaders and government officials will be present.

For whom is GES?

• Entrepreneurs must meet criteria in order to be eligible for selection:
• Technology with the potential to contribute to global challenges within Agriculture, Connectivity, Energy, Health and Water
• An innovation that is more than a concept, with a functioning, market-ready business model
• An enterprise that is investor-ready, with the ambition and the capacity to scale-up internationally within 5 years
• Preference for entrepreneurs that work together with universities or research institutions
