On October 26, AmCham members attended a Business Breakfast with the newly appointed President of the National Agency for Public Procurement, Ms. Roxana Mînzatu. The opening remarks were held by AmCham President, Ms Daniela Nemoianu.

Ms. Mînzatu’s presentation focused on the new role of ANAP, the implementation status in the Romanian national legislation of the EU Directives on public procurement, the retrieving of AmCham’s and CDR’s amendments in National Strategy for Public Procurement, as well as in the legislative package consisting of 4 special laws (Draft law on classical public procurement, draft law on remedies, draft law on sectorial utilities, draft law on concessions). Discussions also revealed the calendar and the next systemic steps to be followed in the new public procurement system.
