In the context of AmCham’s efforts to support economic exchanges between Romania and the U.S., we are happy to announce that the AmCham priority program for U.S. business and tourism visas is now extended. The program covers B1/B2 U.S. visa applicants and consists of fast-tracked interview appointments through AmCham Romania.

Starting with October 1, 2023, the extended AmCham priority program allows us to schedule appointments for a larger number of applicants, employees of AmCham Romania member companies and their immediate family members (spouse, children and parents), provided they meet the eligibility criteria below.

The extended AmCham priority program allows us to accommodate both applicants who already have travel plans and those who may need to travel in the future but haven’t made any arrangements yet. This program also aims to support Romania’s efforts to be included in the Visa Waiver Program of the United States of America.

U.S. visa applicants through the AmCham priority program must:

• be an employee of AmCham Romania member companies (and/or immediate family)
• be Romanian citizens
• have not been denied a U.S. visa in the past
• have clean fiscal and criminal records.

How to apply for a B1/B2 U.S. visa:   

1. follow the guidelines and application steps as outlined in the Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service, here
2. fill in the DS-160 Form (Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application)
3. pay the visa fee
4. contact AmCham to schedule your priority interview after completing steps 1 through 3.
