On 23 September 2025, world leaders, innovators, and changemakers will gather at UN Headquarters in New York City to spotlight how digital technologies can connect, empower, and transform lives. The Anchor Event, Digital@UNGA - powered by ITU and UNDP - will showcase bold solutions and commitments to advance universal and meaningful connectivity and drive broader digital transformation. Across the week, Affiliate Sessions hosted by diverse organizations will carry this mission forward, highlighting digital innovation and its impact across sectors and communities worldwide.

Digital@UNGA is convened by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN Agency for Digital Technologies, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN’s lead agency for sustainable development. ITU brings global leadership in connectivity and digital transformation, while UNDP leverages its presence in over 170 countries and territories to advance inclusive growth and human development, with digital as a key enabler and accelerator. By joining forces, ITU and UNDP amplify the impact of digital cooperation, ensuring that technology becomes a driver of opportunity for everyone, everywhere.

In line with the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) outcomes and the Global Digital Compact (2024), Digital@UNGA responds to today’s urgent call for action. In a world marked by polarization and crisis, digital remains one of the strongest forces for unity and progress. The Anchor Event and Affiliate Sessions together reaffirm digital as a driver of development and inclusion, celebrate changemakers delivering bold solutions, and inspire future action through dialogue and pledges. The vision is clear: to accelerate an equitable digital future where no one is left behind.

About Affiliate Sessions (part of the ITU-UNDP Digital@UNGA programme during the UN High Level Week 2025)

Affiliate Sessions are independently hosted by diverse organizations as part of the ITU– UNDP Digital@UNGA programme during UN High Level Week 2025. They share the same mission as the Anchor Event, to celebrate the power of digital to connect, uplift, and empower. Together, they expand the stage of Digital@UNGA, ensuring that voices and innovations from every sector and region are spotlighted throughout the week.

Affiliate Sessions are part of a powerful global movement. They gain visibility as part of the official Digital@UNGA ecosystem, featured in the programme guide and amplified through ITU and UNDP channels. By aligning with the values of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation, Affiliate Sessions reinforce the message that digital is a unifying force for progress.

Affiliate Sessions:

Sessions are fully designed and managed by their organizers, from venue and speakers to communications and promotion, ensuring creativity and ownership. Whether in-person, hybrid, or virtual, Affiliate Sessions extend the Digital@UNGA mission and celebrate the power of Digital for Good across communities worldwide.
