The American International School of Bucharest Launches the Scholarship Program 2023 – 2024 for Students Entering the 9th Grade

The objective of the AISB Scholarship Program is to provide qualified students of any nationality entering the 9th grade who are unable to afford to attend AISB due to financial limitations full access to a challenging international education.

The program represents an AISB tradition that started in 1998. So far, over 100 students have benefited from this program. Recipients of AISB scholarships are students who have proven financial need, strong academic ability, involvement in community activities and who display ethical behavior.

OPEN HOUSE EVENT – March 2nd

To find out more details on the program, AISB is inviting you to an OPEN HOUSE event at the school headquarters, on March 2nd, 18:00 o’clock.

To participate at the evening event, it is necessary to fill out this registration form by March 1st, 10:00.

Students who cannot participate, but wish to enter the program, can contact the Admissions Department of AISB: admissions@goaisb.ro

 

STAGES

The competition will take place in three stages (eliminatory):

●          The first stageMarch 11th - Mathematics test, English, non-verbal exam. After deciding to participate to the competition, please fill out the exam form here. You will receive all the needed information after signing in.

●          The second stage – Mathematics test, English and file submission according to the guidelines that you will be provided with.

●          The third stage – interviews with the finalists – the results of the exams and the files will be reviewed by all the members of the scholarship awarding committee.

The final decision will be announced at the end of May 2023. The AISB scholarship covers the four years of tuition, lunch, extracurricular activities, trips, exam fees and laptops.

 

CRITERIA

Scholarships are awarded on academic and financial criteria. The commission for granting scholarships consists of the General Director of the school, the Educational Director of the secondary school, the Directors of Admissions and Finance, two teachers and the President of the Parents' Committee. PROGRAM GUIDELINES

All scholarship students are expected to participate in the International Baccalaureate Program which culminates with the internationally recognized IB Diploma upon successful completion of the degree program in the 12th grade. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is a rigorous, pre-university course of study that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students and incorporates the best educational practices from around the world.
