Let's support together children's digital education

by Fundatia Progress April 3, 2025

As you may already know, Progress Foundation has been making an impact in Romania since 1996. Over the past 15 years, our organization has grown exponentially, focusing on the national network of public libraries - key community hubs where we bring to life inspiring initiatives such as free coding courses for kids (CODE Kids) and empowerment clubs for girls (Fearless Girls Network).

Through these main programs, we empower children to dream big and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Your support can make all the difference!

WHY REDIRECT 3.5%?

You can easily redirect 3.5% out of your tax income which otherwise would go the state budget. With just one signature this amount goes to the social cause you believe in, all in just 3 minutes, online! With no cost at all you can offer a lot in return!

WHY REDIRECT 3.5% FOR PROGRESS FOUNDATION PROGRAMS?

  • There have been over 12,000 kids who have gone through our free coding courses since the beginning.
  • We had 247 active CODE Kids Clubs in 2024 only, out of which 213 in Romania and 34 in the Republic of Moldova.
  • We have donated over 140 computers and laptops to CODE Kids Clubs since 2023 only.
  • We had in 2024 around 250 CODE Kids clubs coordinators (librarians, teachers, NGO workers), 25 district coordinators, over 90 CODE Kids Alumni and over 40 corporate volunteers.
  • CODE Kids was awarded 3rd Prize at the Civil Society Gala 2023, Education Section and it has become the largest STEM initiative at the national level, a good practice example.
  • The social impact of the CODE Kids project (Social Return on Investment – SROI) was calculated for 2024 to be 1:9.04, meaning that for evey LEU invested in the project, the social value created in the community is of 9 LEI.

  • There have been over 2,000 girls who have gone through our girls’ empowerment courses so far.
  • We had in 2024 680 teenage girls in 74 clubs in 25 districts involved in our girls’ empowerment clubs, all over Romania, plus 615 girls in the Republic of Moldova in 72 clubs.
  • Main themes approached in the girls’ empowerment programs were: health education, identity, anxiety, assertive communication, bullying, discrimination, active citizenship, financial independence, fake news and fact checking, etc.
  • The international Jury of the Romanian PR Awards 2023 nominated our fearless girls project at its XXIst Edition, we got a Gold Recognition for „Stronger women” category at Romanian Community Index 2024, as well as IIIrd Prize for Civic Behavior and Public Participation and Social Impact Award at the Civil Society Gala 2024.
  • The social impact of the project (SROI) was calculated for 2023 to be 1:2.85, meaning that for evey LEU invested in the project, the social value created in the community is of almost 3 LEI.
