For over 26 years, Genesis College has been building a strong educational environment grounded in academic excellence and the balanced development of every student. By integrating the national curriculum with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, the school offers a complete educational journey, from early years to high school, focused on critical thinking, independence, and real-world relevance.

On April 30, we take an important new step in this direction with the launch of the IDeA HUB, an innovative educational space dedicated to middle and high school students. More than just a laboratory, IDeA HUB represents a strategic investment in the future of education. Genesis College is among the few institutions in Romania offering the full IB Continuum (PYP, MYP, DP), enabling the coherent development of real competencies, from early exploration to advanced critical thinking.

IDeA HUB is one of the most advanced educational laboratories for design and technology, a space where innovation becomes an integral part of the learning process. The project was developed through an investment of approximately 100,000 Euro, directed toward state-of-the-art equipment, infrastructure, and the creation of a learning environment aligned with today’s demands.

IDeA HUB (Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship, Arts) is designed as an interdisciplinary environment where students explore theoretical concepts while applying them in real projects. From prototyping and robotics to virtual reality, the activities carried out here reflect how the real world operates, at the intersection of science, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking. The initiative is based on an increasingly clear reality: the traditional educational model, built on separating disciplines, no longer meets current needs.

A distinctive feature of the project is its role in training future teachers. Starting next academic year, the space will also host teaching practice activities for students enrolled in the didactic master’s program, becoming a real-world training environment for the next generation of educators.

IDeA HUB is a natural extension of the IB Continuum offered by Genesis College, which encourages critical thinking and cross-disciplinary connections. Unlike similar initiatives, this laboratory is not extracurricular, it is fully integrated into the curriculum. Middle and high school students will attend classes here across multiple subjects, making it a central learning hub for the entire school.

Through IDeA HUB, Genesis College promotes an educational model where curiosity becomes competence, and competence turns into real-world projects.
