GTS Telecom enters the Firewall as a Service market with a new developed cyber security platform

by GTS Telecom March 19, 2019

GTS Telecom, one of the main IT&C services providers with latest technologies in Romania, enters the FWaaS (Firewall as a Service) market by developing a platform that enables customers to secure their Internet connection and physical or virtual servers hosted in the data centers of their supplier. The new service contributes to managing in a more flexible way of the GTS Telecom’s clients’ cyber security.

Integrated into GTS’s infrastructure, the new FWaaS platform allows to increase the protection level against cyber-attacks without allocating additional resources from the client’s side in terms of purchasing of high-performance equipment and expensive licenses. The implementation of the Firewall as a Service platform includes assuring a high-availability configuration and hosting it in its own data centre, as the maintenance and upgrades will be under GTS Telecom’s responsibility. The technological solution addresses all companies that uses an Internet connection or Cloud and Colocation services provided by GTS, allowing them to analyse and filter information transferred over the Internet, to protect the company’s and employee’s data, and to reduce the risk exposure of cyber-attacks.

As companies are more and more exposed to the digital transformation, they need a modern technologies protection with a high flexibility and availability. GTS Firewall as a Service, the new cyber security solution, offers this adaptability that our customers need to be able to safely operate online so they can focus more on the growth aspects of their business. We believe that this service will attract total revenues of approximately 200.000 euros in the next 2 years.” stated Răzvan Stoica, CEO GTS Telecom.

The new GTS FWaaS service is available with three subscription types – Basic, Premium and Professional, depending on customers requirements. They benefit of support and maintenance provided by GTS throughout the contract’s period, but they also have the possibility to manage this service with their own resources, thus responding to the highly specific security needs of their business.

“The highly interest shown by our clients for this type of service has motivated us to invest in the development of GTS FWaaS platform, using new generation firewall equipment and our existing infrastructure. Customers receive consultancy from GTS specialists in configurating and implementing the solution and adjusting it according to the company’s specific security requirements”, mentioned Sorin Drăghici, Sales Manager GTS Telecom.

By launching of the new FWaaS service, GTS Telecom complements its security services portfolio, that includes GTS Anti DDoS, managed network security by managing firewall hardware, anti-malware products and integrated security solutions (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and fire alarm).
