Dăruiește Viață’s Surprise for Alessia. You can Multiply her Happiness!

Dăruiește Viață challenges you to make Thanksgiving special

Dăruiește Viață is building a new Children’s Hospital, exclusively from donations and sponsorships. And it will be different: friendly and colorful, to cheer up the children in their fight against illness. There will be a lot of spaces dedicated to them: playgrounds, a cinema, a radio studio, a rock museum, an astronomical observatory.

Do you want to make Thanksgiving special? Multiply Alessia’s happiness. Give thanks. Give hope. Give Life. Donate or sponsor to build for the future. Thousands of children and parents will thank you in the long term.

What does it take to bring a little bit of joy to the oncology wing? Empathy, a dedicated doctor and a special meeting.

A small gesture of kindness can make a big difference

What does a doctor do when she hears that Alessia, a 12-year-old girl hospitalized for treatment against leukemia, talks daily about Policeman Robi from the Romanian series Las Fierbinți? Dr. Laura Ștefănescu picked up the phone and called Carmen Uscatu, one of Dăruiește Viață’s founders, to invite the actor, Leonid Doni, to the oncology department of the Marie Curie Hospital.

It's impossible to imagine what it's like to be in Alessia’s place. Leading a hard battle since birth, now with another difficult enemy like cancer. And to be stuck for months in the hospital, in the same ward, on the same bed. She only has a table at the end of the hall where she can play with other children. But Policeman Robi’s visit brought happiness to Alessia, gratitude to her mother, and joy to the medical team.
