Only a few weeks separate us from 2025, and the last day of the year is also the deadline by which companies can direct up to 20% of profit tax.

• Taxpayers who make sponsorships, according to the law, have the possibility to reduce the profit tax due to the state budget, up to the limit of 0.75% of the turnover, but not more than 20% of the profit tax. Starting with January 1, 2024, the facility applies only to profit tax payers, and is not applicable to micro-enterprise profit tax payers.
• Starting with January 1, 2024, profit tax payers will continue to benefit from the tax facility related to the sponsorships granted, and can order the directing of the profit tax under the law, unless they owe profit tax at the minimum level of turnover tax.
• Sponsorships made in 2021 in excess of the 2021 fiscal and tax year limitation were the last such amounts to be carried forward and usable in the future, until 2028.
