Starting with December 16, 2020, Alexandra Rădulescu joins Simion & Baciu as partner in the law firm. From this position, Alexandra will have partner-specific responsibilities both professionally as well as regarding marketing, business development and administrative matters.
With more than 14 years of experience, Alexandra previously worked in the local office of the global law firm DLA Piper as a Counsel, as well as in other large law firms such as Peli Filip or David & Baias.
Alexandra's main practice area is dispute resolution, with a special focus on domestic and international arbitration, as well as competition and administrative litigation in general.
Alexandra's expertise includes advising and representing clients in commercial, construction and defence arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration attached to the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and ICC International Court of Arbitration, in cases seated in Paris, Vienna and Bucharest.
Alexandra has represented clients in various high profile competition litigation case files, acting for both claimants, in disputes concerning the annulment of sanctioning decisions and legal privilege decisions issued by the Romanian Competition Council, as well as for defendants in claims initiated by competitors or stemming from or in relation with antitrust investigations conducted by the Romanian Competition Council.
With respect to general administrative disputes, Alexandra has represented clients before the courts of law in claims against various State authorities, including the National Tax Administration and the Environmental Fund Administration, in tax and customs related litigation, the Government, various Ministries and State agencies in administrative and regulatory disputes and public procurement disputes.
As regards commercial litigation, Alexandra has a wealth of experience with construction litigation (FIDIC Red Book and Silver Book), corporate disputes and conflicts between shareholders, contract breaches and misrepresentation claims.
Alexandra has also acted for clients in connection with insolvency claims, either on the debtor or creditor side, and in out of court restructuring.
Alexandra’s expertise in the intellectual property field includes advising and representing clients in both pre-litigious situations and court cases in connection with various trademark, industrial designs, copyright and Internet domain names infringement and protection.
Last but not least, Alexandra has also regularly advised clients from numerous industries, including highly regulated ones such as pharmaceuticals, telecom, automotive, energy, oil and gas, with respect to domestic and EU industry regulations, competition and state aid matters.
As a partner with Simion & Baciu Alexandra will have as primary responsibility the development of the litigation and arbitration practice, while offering support to clients in regulatory, compliance, public procurement matters as well as in the pharmaceutical sector.
