On October 24, 2016 AmCham Romania and the Constanta City Hall co-organized a roundtable focused on next steps in the implementation of the urban development strategy for Constanta.

The one day event facilitated a positive dialogue and best practices exchange worthy to be replicated with other City Halls in Romania to engage them in driving the shift towards using the wealth of available smart technologies.

Participating AmCham members companies – Cisco Romania, Deloitte, IBM, Microsoft, Pitech+Plus, UP Romania, UPC, UTI Group along with U.S. Embassy representatives, shared their Smart Cities related solutions.

Very valuable insights were presented by local institutions – Ovidius University, Constanta Port, Constanta Chamber of Commerce to an audience that also included representatives of the local business community.

On AmCham’s side the initiative was coordinated by Madeline Alexander, Board Member.
