Since the begining of July 2014, UTI Grup has been the sole provider of facility management and engineering building services for Bucharest National Arena, the largest sport arena in Romania built in compliance with the Elite standards, with a capacity of 55.000 seats and 108.000 square meters of surface.
The contract has been awarded by open tender by the Bucharest City Hall, the owner of the facility, for a period of four years and its value is estimated to 7.6 milion euros. The frame contract is divided into several subsequent contracts, one for each of the four years of collaboration.
As specified in the contract, UTI will provide operating services for all the systems, equipment and installation assuring the arena functioning on a daily basis and during events, preventive and corrective maintenace and technical management of the spare parts. UTI is also responsibile for the commisioning, installation and operation of an advanced technological system that helps improving the quality of the stadium lawn turf.
Outsourcing the technical services to a specialised supplier will enble the beneficiary of the contract to better control and reduce administrative costs, by increasing the downtime of the equipment and energy efficiency and to maximize the comfort and safety of the arena users.
