Between 20th and 22nd of September, UNIGLOBE Travel International along with EXIMTUR organized in Bucharest the international annual event "UNIGLOBE EMEA Retreat".
UNIGLOBE Travel International is one of the most important global travel management network that has been active in business travel and leisure travel for over 30 years. The network serves a global portfolio of customers from over 60 countries on six continents.
In 2016, EXIMTUR joined UNIGLOBE Travel International, becoming thus the only Romanian travel company affiliated to this global network. The partnership ensures EXIMTUR connection to an internationally advanced business management system for business travel and not only, as well as access to a wide range of state-of-the-art technical solutions that are reflected in the quality of its services and products.
The capital of Romania became the host of "UNIGLOBE EMEA Retreat" 2018, following EXIMTUR’s proposal within the last year similar event held in Athens, Greece. Bucharest was one of the four presented proposals.
The event held in Bucharest was a premiere for our country and was attended by more than 130 top management representatives from travel management companies and travel agencies from over 20 countries. Delegates met to discuss and share the latest industry news on booking systems, technologies, airlines, ancillary services, etc., and to find out why is Romania an excellent destination for leisure or business travels. The organizers have prepared various cultural, traditional and culinary tourist experiences to which delegates had access during their stay in our country.

It was a great opportunity to present them Romania and promote it as a wonderful destination for both business and leisure travels. The guests were delighted by our country and had a great stay and I am convinced that they will definitely introduce Romania in their portfolios and will promote it more and more, " said Lucia Nora Morariu, President of EXIMTUR.
