The MPR Partners | Maravela, Popescu & Roman and Squire Patton Boggs LLP consortium was ranked first in the selection process carried out by the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance in order to contract assistance and representation in international investment arbitration performed according to UNCITRAL provisions.

Situated on the first place out of the total of six associations of firms selected to provide legal services, the consortium including MPR Partners | Maravela, Popescu & Roman benefits from the vast experience of its founding partners Gelu Maravela and Alina Popescu, involved throughout their careers in numerous ICSID and UNCITRAL investment arbitrations, such as for instance the first ICSID arbitration won by Romania, namely Noble Ventures, Inc. v. Romania (ICSID Case No. ARB/01/11) and the famous arbitration case Micula and others v. Romania (ICSID Case No. ARB/05/20).

(Romania), Anina Pro Invest Ltd (Cyprus) and Giust Ltd (Cyprus).
