Gociu Lawyers is launching Business Holding Architecture, a new business education series designed for founders, shareholders and executives seeking to build stronger ownership structures, protect business assets and prepare their companies for financing, investment, exit or succession.
The series will open in Timișoara on September 17, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., at ISHO Pavilion, followed by a second edition in Bucharest on October 22, 2026.
The initiative responds to a structural challenge in the Romanian entrepreneurial market. A recent regional analysis covering 223 companies in Timiș, Arad and Caraș-Severin, each reporting 2025 turnover of at least RON 100 million, found that 34.1% are still owned exclusively and directly by individuals, while only 15.7% have an identifiable holding company at the first shareholder level.
Business Holding Architecture will bring together legal, tax, banking and financing perspectives in a practical discussion on separating operational risk, moving capital efficiently within a group, protecting strategic assets and developing structures that can support long-term growth.
“A holding structure should not be created simply because it is fashionable or for a short-term tax advantage. It should follow a clear economic logic: what the entrepreneur wants to protect, where risk should sit, how capital should move and what the business is expected to become over the next five or ten years,” said Adrian Gociu, Managing Partner at Gociu Lawyers.
Tickets for the Timișoara edition are available on iaBilet.ro.
