During the period February 1 - March 30, 2023, micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized companies in Romania will be able to submit projects to obtain European non-refundable funds of 20,000 - 100,000 euros, within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), through the Digitalization Program IMM, program that has a total budget of almost 350 million euros.
According to the calendar announced by the Ministry of European Investments and Projects, the final version of Beneficiary guide is to be launched on December 16, and the call for projects will be open from February 1, 2023 to March 30, 2023.
The maximum value of the de minimis aid is between: 20,000 and 30,000 Euros for the micro-enterprise; 20,000 and 50,000 Euros for small businesses; 20,000 and 100,000 Euros for medium-sized enterprises. Co-financing is 0% for micro-enterprises and 10% of the amount of eligible expenses for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The beneficiaries of the Digitization grants are SMEs from non-IT fields that cumulatively meet the following conditions: they have the status of small, medium or micro-enterprises (SMEs); are established no later than 31.12.2021; did not have their activity interrupted / suspended in 2022; have recorded an operating profit (>0 lei) in the fiscal year prior to submitting the financing request. CAEN codes excluded from financing are: 5829, 6201, 6202, 6203, 6311, 6312, 6399, 7211, 7219.
Eligible expenses under the SME Digitization Program are: ICT hardware, automation and robotics equipment intended for technological flows, integrated with digital solutions; development and/or adaptation of software applications/licenses, including RPA software automation solutions, respectively Robotic Process Automation; blockchain technologies; artificial intelligence systems, machine learning, augmented reality, virtual reality; presentation website; cloud and IoT services; training the staff who will use ICT equipment; consultancy/analysis to identify technical solutions needed by SMEs.
