CMU & Euroclinic become Regina Maria, The Private Healthcare Network

by Regina Maria, The Private Healthcare Network March 14, 2011

For the past 15 years we have witnessed the development of the most exciting market in Romania, that of private medical services. Our development has been in keeping with this rhythm, and we have made our own contribution to its current level. We were Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU), and now, together with Euroclinic, we have united under a single brand, REGINA MARIA. This is the path we have chosen to move along together.

“H.M. Queen Marie is not just the person that first attracted me to come to Romania, but also an example for each of us. Because she was a forward thinker H.M. Queen Marie’s actions were intimately connected with her spiritual life, allowing her to offer true assistance to the Romanian people and become a symbol of national pride. This change, by which we take on the name of the woman known to all as “the mother of the wounded,” was approved by H.M. King Michael, and I believe that this counts equally as the blessing of H.M. Queen Marie,” said Dr. Wargha Enayati General Manager of REGINA MARIA, The private healthcare network.

For the largest private network in Romania, medical services means “Excellence in Medical Services,” and to serve in the “name of excellence” translates to helping people have good health, and offering them advanced technology and care from the heart. The REGINA MARIA brand has a humanist side, par excellence.

In its 15 years of activity, CMU has evolved yearly. Following its recent merger with Euroclinic, CMU became Romania’s largest private health care network, with over 1,000 physicians in 6 hospitals and over 20 multi-specialty clinics throughout the country. After the rebranding, the team will remain the same, and the business plans will continue to be developed to respect our promise to all our patients: Excellence in Medical Services. As such, in the coming period, REGINA MARIA will expand the number of hospitals and multi-specialty clinics in Bucharest and the country, and will prepare specialized medical solutions for all its patients, both individuals and companies.

“We continue our mission to have the most powerful medical network, carrying on our investments in medical technology and in our medical team,” said Fady Chreih, Executive Director of REGINA MARIA, The private healthcare network. “Compared to other medical entities, we have an outstanding humanist side, and this has been and will continue to be reflected in all actions we undertake,” added Fady Chreih.

Following the rebranding, the Regina Maria maternity hospital will be called REGINA MARIA, obstetrics and gynecology hospital, CMU Kids becomes REGINA MARIA, multi-specialty clinic for children, and Spitalul Euroclinic will be named REGINA MARIA, Euroclinic Hospital. Furthermore, Stem-Health Unirea has become entirely part of the private healthcare network, named REGINA MARIA, Central Stem Cell Bank, and the network’s own laboratory network is now known as REGINA MARIA, Clinical laboratory division.
