bpv GRIGORESCU STEFANICA (bpvGS) has the pleasure to announce promotions within its team of lawyers: Raluca Marcu and Nicolae Ursu become Managing Associates and Iulia Dragomir (Cojocaru) takes the position of Senior Associate within the firm.
Raluca Marcu joined bpvGS in 2006 and is currently part of the team coordinating the dispute resolution practice of the firm. Raluca has broad experience in litigation matters, being involved mostly in fiscal and administrative disputes as well as in public procurement cases. In addition, Raluca has extensive experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions. During her over seven years of practice, Raluca represented local and international clients both before the courts of law as well as before the arbitral courts. She is also an active member of the Infrastructure and Utilities & Environment industry groups of the firm.
Nicolae Ursu has more than eight years of experience in advising regional and multinational companies with regards to complex real estate, energy and infrastructure transactions. His recent practice focuses on all types of commercial and industrial property development, as well as energy, including cogeneration and renewable energy, mining and other projects with significant impact on the environment. Nicolae is an elected vice-president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham) Infrastructure & PPP Committee and is actively involved in providing support and expertise for adopting a new law for the development of PPP projects in Romania. He is a frequently published author in various publications and a speaker at conferences on energy, environment and PPP topics.
Iulia Dragomir (Cojocaru) joined bpvGS in 2010 and has over six years of experience providing legal assistance with respect to fiscal, commercial, public procurement and labour matters. Iulia is also part of the competition team, being involved in various projects and assisting local and international clients with respect to dawn raids, antitrust compliance, economic concentration. Iulia is co-author of the chapter on Romania published by Competition Law in Central and Eastern Europe. A practical Guide, a complete analysis of the competition practices in Central and Eastern Europe conducted by specialists in the field and published by the prestigious legal publishing house Kluwer Law International. Iulia dedicates considerable time in gaining in-depth knowledge of the industry areas in which the clients she assists activate, such as technology, media and telecommunications, pharma, energy and natural resources sectors.
