The development of a child's brain is significantly influenced by early stimulation, with future academic success deeply rooted in experiences from the early years. In underprivileged communities, where families often lack access to books, children are starting school with a huge knowledge gap, facing a heightened risk of educational dropout.

Children's literature goes beyond teaching the alphabet; it is a gateway to expanding a child's imagination and curiosity about the world and encourages exploration beyond their immediate surroundings. Early literacy is the cornerstone for developing a sense of "agency"—the ability for individuals to act independently and to make their own free choices, essential for realizing their potential.

To combat educational disparities and reduce the rate of school dropout in Romania, Asociatia OvidiuRO, in partnership with local communities, aims to transform every kindergarten into a "Kinder-Library" by 2025. These spaces will be filled with quality children's books and daily activities that inspire imagination and cultivate a love for reading.
