The Embassy of the United States in Romania, together with American Councils for International Education, invite Romanian students between the ages of 18 and 27 to compete for the 5th edition of the Kennedy Academy for Students.

The program is built on the topics of democracy, ciciv education, and active participation in the community and will take place between February 20 and 24, 2024, in Bucharest. You can learn more about the program in the attached press release.

Eligibility Criteria

The competition is open to youth who meet all these criteria:

• are Romanian citizens
• are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD program in the rural or the urban area, regardless of the field of study
• are at least 18 years old and are not older than 27 years at the begining of the program (February 20, 2024)
• are members of a student association / NGO in Romania
• have at least an intermediate level of English
• are creative, civically engaged and have good academic results
• show proven interest in the program topics
• are available to organize at least one local civic project between February and March 2024
