Private Sector Investments with EU Funds in the Republic of Moldova | Opportunies for Companies in Romania

AmCham Romania is pleased to invite members to an info session on opportunities for EU/EEA/Moldova-based businesses to invest in the Republic of Moldova, under the  EU’s Growth Plan for Moldova - please see below call for expressions of interest. 

On Wednesday, November 26, between 16:30 - 18:00, at the AmCham Romania premises, Alexandre Darras, representing the Private Sector Engagement Unit A3 in DG Enlargement and Eastern Neighborhood (ENEST) of the European Commission, will be sharing the opportunities for Romanian companies.

Call for expressions of interest for EU/EEA/Moldova-based businesses to invest in the Republic of Moldova

The call is part of the EU’s Growth Plan for Moldova – a transformative economic and political support package with the potential to kick-start Moldova’s economic growth to ensure its economic convergence with the EU in the medium-term. In addition to financial support worth up to EUR 1.9 billion, the Growth Plan will support reforms essential to improving the business environment and creating a safer investment climate for potential investors.

What does the call offer?

•  It is open to companies from the EU, the European Economic Area (EEA) and Moldova that are looking to invest in priority sectors of the Moldovan economy, such as energy and green transition, agriculture, industry, digital/IT, transport and logistics, and healthcare.

•  Investments must be minimum EUR 10 million and include at least 15% own equity by the project promoter.

• The call will contribute to building a pipeline of private investments that could potentially be supported through loans, guarantees, grants, technical assistance and other support measures from the European Commission and partner financial institutions.

The submission portal for this Call for Expressions of Interest is open from 4 September 2025. Proposals will be evaluated through evaluation Committees that will be convening on a quarterly basis. The submission deadline for applications which will be evaluated within the 1^st selection group is Monday 8 December 2025 at 23.00 CET. Evaluation of the next packages of proposals received after 8 December will take place indicatively in March and in June 2026. The Call is opened until 4 June 2026 at 18.00 CET.
