AmCham Romania is inviting you to a new series of meetings – Meet the Mayor, with mayors of the main cities around Romania.
This approach is part of a series of initiatives designed to support the efforts to increase Romania's economic competitiveness, through strengthening the capacity of local communities to attract sustainable investments, accelerate sustainable urban development and increase the profile of regions.
The first meeting in this series is with the Mayor of Brașov, Allen Coliban, and will take place on April, 6, 2021, between 15:00 – 16:00, online.
We’ve invited Mayor Coliban to share with us the development priorities for the City of Brașov and the metropolitan area.
In an introductory discussion Mayor Coliban outlined as main areas of focus: the automotive industry, tourism, civil aeronautics, university education, green solutions for energy storage, and a redesign of the urban development strategy, attraction of value-added investments, development of industrial parks, for which they welcome support from the business community.
According to Mayor Coliban, an overall priority of the Brașov administration is to increase the city profile as a business and study destination, based on its industrial tradition and building on increased transport connectivity.
This event series is part of AmCham's focus on increasing the business growth services for AmCham members, by facilitating dialogue with leaders of the main cities in Romania and building partnerships between the business community and local administrations.
The discussions will be held in Romanian.
