As Romania advances through a challenging fiscal and healthcare reform agenda, AmCham is pleased to invite members to a high-level policy dialogue dedicated to ensuring the long-term financial resilience and performance of the national healthcare system. Entitled "FutureProof Health: Achieving Financial Sustainability in the Healthcare System", the event will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, between 09:00 - 11:45, at Novotel City Center Hotel.

This event is designed as an opportunity to engage in forward-looking discussions with top-level officials and industry leaders at a time when shaping the future of the healthcare system is both urgent and possible.

In Panel 1, we welcome senior leadership from the Ministry of Health, the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), and the National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (ANMDM) for a comprehensive discussion on how ongoing reforms will shape the structural pillars of the healthcare system — including hospital financing mechanisms, FNASS budget compartmentalization, HTA implementation, and ensuring sustainable access to innovation in medicines and medical equipment.

Panel 2 will feature insights from public and private hospital managers, healthcare providers, and insurers, focusing on rebalancing the public-private dynamic, implementing performance-based leadership models in hospital management, and exploring responsible procurement frameworks that align incentives, accountability, and health outcomes.
