AmCham Romania is pleased to invite members to a new workshop, a First Aid Demo Course, offered by MENSAVE, on December 4, 2024, between 16:00 - 18:00. 

Please note that this workshop will be an IN-PERSON event, organized at AmCham Office (11 Ion Campineanu Street, Union International Center, 4th floor).

This first aid demo course is led by Cristian Ghita, CEO of MENSAVE, a company dedicated to saving lives through education and access to emergency medical resources. MENSAVE provides first aid courses throughout Romania and beyond, with a clear mission: to prepare as many people as possible to intervene effectively in critical situations.

Cristian Ghita is an active promoter of the importance of first aid knowledge and a true ambassador for access to defibrillators in public spaces. Through MENSAVE, over 7 defibrillators have already been installed from private funds, thus contributing to increasing the chances of survival in the event of a cardiac arrest.

In this course, Cristian Ghita will share his experience and guide you through essential life-saving techniques, with a focus on resuscitation, the Heimlich maneuver, and the recovery position.

During the course you will learn:

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR): How to recognize a cardiac arrest and correctly perform chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
• Heimlich maneuver: How to intervene if someone is choking on a foreign object, correctly applying the Heimlich maneuver to clear the airway.
• Recovery position: How to place an unconscious person who is breathing in the recovery position to prevent choking on their own vomit or tongue.

The course is interactive and includes practical demonstrations, giving you the opportunity to practice the techniques learned under the guidance of the trainer.

About the facilitator:

Cristian Ghiță is a European Resuscitation Council (ERC) accredited trainer with extensive experience in first aid and emergency medical response. For over 7 years, he has been a dedicated volunteer with SMURD, where he has contributed his expertise to lifesaving efforts. Currently, Cristian serves as the CEO of MENSAVE, a leading company that provides first aid training courses for both companies and individuals across Romania. His commitment to emergency preparedness and education has positioned him as a key figure in promoting life-saving skills in various sectors.

The discussions will be held in Romanian.
