AmCham Romania Events Family Enterprise: Founder Transition, Family Governance and the Leadership Challenges of Building a Multi-generational Business.

AmCham Romania is pleased to invite members to a new workshop offered by Amrop, on December 10th, between 15:30 - 17:30. Please note that this workshop will be an IN-PERSON event, organized at AmCham Office (11 Ion Campineanu Street, Union International Center, 4th floor).

Romania’s first generation of post-1990 founders is reaching the moment of transition. What keeps family, ownership and business aligned once the founder no longer holds everything together?

Most conversations about succession start with legal structures and tax. This one starts with the leadership work that has to come first.

The session discusses:

  • The founder’s changing role, and how to let go of control without letting go of influence;
  • Family governance that works in practice, not just on paper;
  • When a Family Office makes sense, and how to start small;
  • How to prepare the next generation to own and to lead.

Interactive, under the Chatham House Rule, with real cases from Romanian and international family businesses.

Language of the session: English, if not all participants are Romanian. Otherwise delivery is in Romanian.

Target audience: founders and shareholders, next-generation family members, non-family executives working with owner families, and their advisors.

Facilitator: Mircea, Partner, Amrop Romania. Advises founders and owner families on Family Office set-up and multi-generational governance; non-executive director and board advisor. Former CFO of Coca-Cola Hellenic Romania & Moldova, and CFO and CEO of a PE-backed logistics company.

Participation is open based on prior confirmation here by December 8th, EOD.
