#DataProtectionHour: AmCham Discussion with Isabel Barberá, Senior Advisor, Dutch Coordinating Supervisor on AI and Algorithms & Expert, Council of Europe’s Data Protection Unit

The AmCham Data Protection Task Force has the pleasure to invite members to a discussion on the Privacy Risk Management for LLM-based systems, with special guest Isabel Barberá, Senior Advisor for the Dutch Coordinating Supervisor on AI and Algorithms and an Expert for the Council of Europe’s Data Protection Unit.

The online event will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, between 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Participation is open to AmCham Romania members, free of charge, based on prior registration online here, by Monday, September , 2025, 5:00 pm. All registered participants will be provided with the connection details via email.

Meet the speaker:

Isabel Barberá is a recognized expert in AI privacy, security, and risk management. She works as Senior Advisor for the Dutch Coordinating Supervisor on AI and Algorithms at the AP and also serves as an Expert for the Council of Europe’s Data Protection Unit, where she researches privacy risks, mitigations, and evaluation methods for Large Language Models. Isabel contributes to the development of European AI standards on risk management and cybersecurity as an expert at CEN/CENELEC. She is a member of ENISA’s Ad Hoc Working Group on Data Protection Engineering, and as part of the EDPB’s Support Pool of Experts, she has contributed to several AI-related projects.

Isabel is also the author of PLOT4AI, an open-source tool for identifying and assessing AI risks based on threat modeling methodology.
