#DataProtectionHour: AmCham Discussion with Dr. Jens Ambrock, Head of Division at Hamburg's Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information

The AmCham Data Protection Task Force has the pleasure to invite members to a discussion on Data Protection in Online Retail, with special guest Dr. Jens Ambrock, Head of Division at Hamburg's Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

The online event will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Participation is open to AmCham Romania members, free of charge, based on prior registration online here, by Sunday, September 21, 2025, 5:00 pm. All registered participants will be provided with the connection details via email.

Meet the speaker:

Dr. Jens Ambrock is Head of Division at the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Together with his team, he supervises companies in the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation. Hamburg is an important location for e-commerce, which is why this sector receives particular attention. He also teaches data protection law at the University of Kiel and leads an EU project advising the recently established Tanzanian data protection authority.
