#DataProtectionHour: AmCham Discussion with Karin Tafur, EU AI Legal & Ethics Consultant

The AmCham Data Protection Task Force has the pleasure to invite members to a discussion on the "AI Literacy under the European AI Act", with special guest Karin Tafur, EU AI Legal & Ethics Consultant, Author, Lecturer, International AI Speaker & Trainer.

The online event will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, between 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Participation is open to AmCham Romania members, free of charge, based on prior registration online here, by Thursday, May 29, 2025, 5:00 pm. All registered participants will be provided with the connection details via email.

Meet the speaker:

Karin Tafur is a leading expert in AI regulation in Europe.  She is dedicated to promoting responsible AI practices and providing legal and ethical advice on AI projects for well-known organizations in Europe and the United States.  

She is an independent member of the AFNOR/CN IA "Intelligence Artificielle" Committee – France and an AI Contributor to CEN/CENELEC JTC 21, supporting European AI standards development. 

With a strong background in academia, research, and industry, Ms. Tafur also leads the European AI Literacy Training – internationally – equipping organizations and individuals with the knowledge needed to navigate AI regulatory requirements in Europe.
