Bjørn Aslak Juliussen (Master of Law) (PhD in computer science) is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. In 2026, his new book "Compliance by Design in AI Systems" (Edward Elgar Publishing) is published. The book, based on his PhD thesis, focuses on how AI systems can be designed to comply with overlapping EU regulatory frameworks, including those protecting personal data, the AI Act, and cybersecurity regulations. Juliussen is a member of the Norwegian Privacy Appeals Board, appointed by the Norwegian government.
