On June 25 – 26, 2026, Sofia will welcome more than 300 business leaders from the so-called ARES Super Region, encompassing 17 countries across Southeast Europe, Central Asia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The organizers and partners aim to build on the achievements of the previous two editions held in Istanbul (2024) and Athens (2025).
This year, the summit expands its scope with the participation of an even broader coalition of American Chambers of Commerce, including those from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The chambers of Ukraine and Kazakhstan will participate as observers (for now).
In total, a group of 15 American Chambers of Commerce (including the three co-organizers) are joining forces to highlight investment opportunities, strengthen cross-border cooperation, and showcase the strategic potential of Southeast Europe, Central Asia, and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The conference will take place over two days:
- Day 1 (June 25, 2026): Thematic panels focused on key sectors and transformative regional opportunities
- Day 2 (June 26, 2026): Dedicated to business-to-business (B2B) meetings

- Energy: Energy security and supply, renewables, LNG infrastructure, and low-carbon strategies (including nuclear projects)
- Hospitality and Tourism: Tourism as a national brand at the crossroads of growth and environmental protection; destination development

ARES 2026 Objectives

The summit will also serve as a key platform for government officials, business leaders, diplomats, and international organizations to exchange ideas and shape the region’s future economic priorities.
