We are pleased to invite AmCham Romania members to a roundtable discussion with Prof. Marian Preda, PhD, Rector of the University of Bucharest, hosted by AmCham's Education Platform, on the implications for human capital and the labor market of an increasingly shrinking school population. This will take place on Monday, October 19th, 15:00-16:30, at AmCham Romania Premises. 

This roundtable responds to a recent concern raised within AmCham's Education Platform regarding the way demographic trends are affecting the education system. The platform's focus is on the declining birth rate and what it means for student numbers. Over the medium and long term, it also has implications for human capital development and the labor market. This roundtable will help members better understand the scale and implications of these demographic shifts, while also exploring the public policy directions they may call for.
