On November 4, 2025, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, AmCham Romania, in partnership with the Aspen Institute Romania, co-hosts a Roundtable Discussion on Defense, Cybersecurity and Dual-Use Technology. This event will be an opportunity for Government and private sector leaders to engage in a conversation that encourages investments in technological and industrial partnerships in Romania and in the region. The event will take place at the Palace of Parliament - Constantin Stere Conference Room.

The topics the audience will explore include cybersecurity, AI, disruptive technologies, dual-use products and the context to build a solid national and transatlantic industrial and innovation base by identifying policy and regulation gaps in the cybersecurity and dual-use technologies sectors and highlighting the considerable potential of the industry and the urgency to seize emerging opportunities.

About the event

In the new European security context, AmCham Romania and the Aspen Institute Romania will bring together stakeholders in the public and private sectors, the academia, and the civil society for a 2-hour conversation on opportunities for Romania to lead European efforts in cybersecurity and to integrate in global dual-use technology ecosystems. The roundtable will

• provide a platform for dialogue on cyber threats, resilience, and regulation and innovation in the dual-use technologies sector (e.g. AI, quantum, drones),
• discuss key regulatory and policy issues related to the cybersecurity and dual-use technologies sectors, and
• identify opportunities for public-private collaboration to secure the development of dual-use technologies in Romania and the integration of local production capabilities in regional, European and global supply chains.

Due to the limited number of available seats, priority will be given to representatives of companies operating in defense, cybersecurity, or industries with dual-use potential.
